Listen to me speak about burnout, research on the teaching profession, and a little bit of my background.
I first learned about Margaret Rowell from my former teacher, Scott Kluksdahl. After I expressed an enthusiastic interest in pedagogy, he showed me a video of a passionate older woman explaining the cello in the most beautiful way imaginable. From that moment, I was captivated by her teaching method. I quickly devoured anything I could find about her, but most of the material was biographical and lacked depth into her pedagogical techniques. To address this gap, I conducted a qualitative study to examine her teaching methods in detail. I am currently synthesizing and disseminating my findings, ensuring that this spectacular pedagogue's knowledge is shared. I find that Margaret Rowell's approach aligns perfectly with my commitment to inclusive pedagogy.
